Comprehensive support package

The Volvo New Car Warranty provides comprehensive coverage for 4 years/50,000 miles plus 4 years "on call" roadside assistance. Additional warranties from Volvo Military Sales provide coverage for corrosion protection, safety belts, air bags, supplemental restraint system, emission systems, spare parts replacement and Genuine Volvo accessories. You also benefit from 4 year membership of Roadside Assistance from Volvo on Call.

Complimentary factory scheduled maintenance

All US specification vehicles will include complimentary factory scheduled maintenance for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first). For US deliveries only, we offer the additional coverage of the unparalleled support of Volvo's Safe and Secure Package. This provides not only extended coverage for your vehicle warranty, from 4 Years 50,000 miles, to 5 Years, 50,000 miles, but also extends your free factory scheduled maintenance from 3 Years to an industry leading 5 Years. Included also is 5 Years free road side assistance, plus 5 Years free replacement of items for wear and tear, such as brake pads and wiper blades. Eligibility to purchase

To qualify for the Military Program, you must hold a valid Military ID card and be currently assigned on official orders to a location outside continental USA and its territories. It is also open to DOD civilian employees and civilians contracted to the US Military, providing you hold a valid US Military or DOD ID. The program is also available for all the forces of NATO, stationed outside their own home country. Please contact us for full details on Military sales conditions.

For the diplomatic program, the requirements are similar. You must be currently posted overseas in an Embassy, Consulate Mission or other representative organization. Proof of diplomatic status is required. Please contact us for full details on diplomatic sales conditions.
For the expatriate program, you must be currently employed outside of your country of residence. Please contact us for full details on expatriate sales conditions.

The exact vehicle for you

Most of our Volvo customers place an order for a vehicle built in the factory to their own specifications. You choose the colors, options and accessories creating your own personal Volvo. You also have the opportunity to choose from a limited amount of pre-ordered factory stock units for quick delivery, all part of the service at Volvo.


How to order

With your Volvo International Sales representative, you will review all the available models, options and accessories of the Volvo of your choice. Once you have selected your desired specifications, we will provide you with a Special Military Price for your vehicle, delivered to the location of your choice. We will also include the relevant Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) plus the Dealer Invoice cost, to allow you to fully compare the savings through our Program.

Our prices

For US delivery, we will need to add the costs for shipment to an authorized Volvo dealer of your choice in the US. This will include overseas freight, marine insurance, US Import Duty and port fees plus inland destination, dealer prep and delivery fees. For European delivery, our prices reflect the total cost for pick up at the factory in Sweden. Customs plates and insurance would be an extra cost (quotes available). 
For other worldwide delivery options, costs may vary on destination. (Please contact your local representative for full explanation and details of costs).

Additional costs

For US delivery, you will be required to pay the relevant State Sales Tax and registration fees applicable to the state you register the vehicle in. Further advice on this should be obtained from the appropriate local tax office.

Timescale

The time an order takes depends on a number of factors including available production slots at the factory. Further information will be provided to you once we know your intended timescales. Once the car has been built it takes 4-6 weeks for delivery to the US depending on its destination (8 weeks for Hawaii and Alaska). Other delivery locations can vary in timeframe, so please contact your local Sales representative for details.

When to order


As the majority of our Volvo Military Sales vehicles are ordered to each customers exact specifications, we generally require a minimum of 3 months to deliver to the USA. We can, however, order a new Volvo for delivery throughout the current model year, which means for example, a customer ordering from Volvo Military Sales in October 2009 could order a new Volvo for a delivery date in the US of August 2010.

Payment

You will already have paid an initial deposit to secure the order. The remaining payment and/or finance monies are due prior to your vehicle's scheduled date to leave the factory, for shipment to the US or Japan.

Financing

Volvo does not offer factory financing. We do however, work very closely with most Military Credit Unions and can recommend Navy Federal Credit Union, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, USAA and Community Bank, who provide very competitive rates and are very familiar with the Volvo Military Sales Program.

Vehicle Destination

Your new Volvo will be delivered to an authorized Volvo retailer of your choice in the US. Alternatively, you have the option of delivery overseas to Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Guam, Europe or even a VIP factory delivery in Sweden.

Volvo Home Shipment Program

Customers taking delivery of their car in Europe may be able to take advantage of the Volvo Home Shipment program when returning to the US. Please ask for further details.

US Delivery

When your car arrives at the Volvo dealership they will contact you to arrange delivery of the vehicle and provide you with all the paperwork to help you register the car. They will fully prepare the vehicle and ask you to check it over to ensure all is to your satisfaction prior to your delivery. You will then be required to sign an inspection sheet. It then remains to take possession of your brand new Volvo and enjoy many miles of happy driving!

After Delivery

As mentioned above, your new Volvo comes with a comprehensive support package including the Volvo New Car Warranty, roadside assistance and complimentary factory scheduled maintenance.
